National Mortgage Lender and Servicer enters Jacksonville market, plans to double employee count by fall
JACKSONVILLE, Fla .– (COMMERCIAL THREAD) – NewRez LLC (“NewRez”), a national lending and mortgage services organization, today announced plans to more than double its employee team in Jacksonville. After opening a service center here in March, they now plan to expand their footprint, making Jacksonville one of their primary business locations.
The Fort Washington, Pa.-Based company opened an office in Jacksonville earlier this year as part of an asset acquisition from mortgage lender Ditech. Senior management of the company visited Jacksonville, met with representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and recognized the tremendous benefits of doing business in the region. Rather than consolidating work functions in other company offices, NewRez chose to make Jacksonville its fourth service center and recruit 90 former Ditech employees. With significant growth plans, the business is now poised to add even more.
“Jacksonville has been a true partner in our ability to attract world-class talent,” said Baron Silverstein, president of NewRez LLC. “We are delighted to announce the addition of 750 positions to the organization, many of which will be located in Jacksonville. With growth expected across all of our business divisions, we will be hiring a wide variety of professionals and know we can find them here. ”
NewRez now plans to hire 100 more jobs in Jacksonville, including positions in mortgage sales, loan processing, underwriting and collections. Corporate support functions will also be required for recruitment, training and information technology. Their hiring will be based on building the best team, so it is possible to add even more beyond the initial 100 positions.
“I am grateful to NewRez LLC for their continued confidence in Jacksonville with this expansion,” said Mayor Lenny Curry. “Jacksonville’s stature as a financial services hub is growing, and the company’s decision to fill 100 new positions and make our city a central location for business is one indication of that. I look forward to seeing even more growth in this important industry in the years to come. ”
NewRez recognizes that it is about building and supporting communities. For this reason, the organization created a community investment initiative called NewRez NOW (Neighborhood Outreach Works). Through NewRez NOW, NewRez invests in the health, vitality and sustainability of communities through charitable contributions, awareness and participation. The program includes a variety of components that support community investment at the corporate level, as well as promoting the active participation of employees in causes close to their hearts through charitable giving, grant programs and volunteering.
“The Jacksonville community has so much to offer us as an employer,” says Liz Monahan, Director of Human Resources for NewRez. “We look forward to strengthening our core team of employees and creating opportunities for us to give back to this amazing community. Our larger offices form the NewRez NOW Humanitarian Councils which engage and serve local nonprofit organizations. Finding new partners and developing these relationships is really part of the fun.
